Hawthorne and Poe on dreams

The authors used the idea of dreaming to make us think about what’s real because he wants us to know the difference and how a dream can sometimes come true or is trying to tell you something. The elements I see in both pieces are similar figure of speech like metaphor, imagery, alliteration and symbolism and their themes are similar in a way. They are different because they both represent something different and they are giving a some what different type of concept on both of the readings.   .
